Patch 4.1 - PTR Build 13682 - Spell Changes

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a wild PTR appears! It looks like Patch 4.1 will make its way to the PTR realms soonish, and we've got a peek at the latest spell changes!

Update! We've just updated these spell changes to a slightly improved format, and we'll continue to improve upon it over the upcoming weeks. Also, it's worth mentioning that the previously documented Body and Soul change is not a nerf but simply a tooltip error and I have removed this change.

It seems that in patch 4.1, epic item level 359 crafted items which (unfortunately) did not receive a gem socket with 4.0.6 have now had sockets added (and stats adjusted)!
  • Elementium Earthguard
    • Now has 170 Strength (-20 from 190), 117 Hit Rating (-10 from 127), and 117 Mastery Rating (-10 from 127)
    • Now has a Blue socket with a +10 Stamina socket bonus
  • Elementium Stormshield
    • Now has 170 Intellect (-20 from 190), 122 Spirit (-5 from 127), and 112 Haste Rating (-15 from 127)
    • Now has a Red socket with a +10 Intellect socket bonus
  • Belt of Nefarious Whispers
    • Now has 233 Agility (-20 from 253), 174 Hit Rating (-10 from 184), and 134 Mastery Rating (-10 from 144)
    • Now has a Red socket with a +10 Agility socket bonus
  • Corded Viper Belt
    • Now has 233 Agility (-20 from 253), 159 Crit Strike Rating (-10 from 169), and 159 Mastery Rating (-10 from 169)
    • Now has a Red socket with a +10 Agility socket bonus
  • Assassin's Chestplate
    • Now has 321 Agility (-20 from 341), 173 Hit Rating (-10 from 183), and 243 Crit Strike Rating (-10 from 253)
    • Now has a Red socket with a +10 Agility socket bonus
  • Dragonkiller Tunic
    • Now has 321 Agility (-20 from 341), 249 Haste Rating (-10 from 259), and 163 Mastery Rating (-10 from 173)
    • Now has a Red socket with a +10 Agility socket bonus
In addition, there are a number of important class spell changes (which are, of course, subject to change)! Many other class updates are simply tooltip updates for changes that have already been implemented via previous hotfixes, but there's definitely a few more interesting changes in there!

  • Shadow Infusion: When you cast Death Coil, you have Grants your successful Death Coils a 33% chance to empower your active Ghoul, increasing its damage dealt by 8% 6% for 30 sec.  Stacks up to 5 times.
  • Shadow Infusion: When you cast Death Coil, you have Grants your successful Death Coils a 66% chance to empower your active Ghoul, increasing its damage dealt by 8% 6% for 30 sec.  Stacks up to 5 times.
  • Shadow Infusion: When you cast Death Coil, you have Grants your successful Death Coils a 100% chance to empower your active Ghoul, increasing its damage dealt by 8% 6% for 30 sec.  Stacks up to 5 times.
  • Blood of the North: Whenever you hit with Permanently transforms your Blood Strike or Pestilence, the Blood Rune will become a Runes into Death Rune when it activates.  Death Runes. Death Runes count as a Blood, Frost Frost, or Unholy Rune.
  • Dark Transformation: 60 100 yd range
  • Scarlet Fever: Causes your Blood Plague to afflict enemies with Scarlet Fever, reducing their physical damage dealt by 10% 5% for 21 sec.
  • Death's Advance: While your Unholy Runes are both depleted, movement-impairing effects may not reduce you below 75% 60% of normal movement speed.
  • Death's Advance: While your Unholy Runes are both depleted, movement-impairing effects may not reduce you below 100% 75% of normal movement speed.


Druid

  • Mangle: Mangle the target for 235% 260% normal damage plus (290* 235 260 / 100) and causes the target to take 30% additional damage from bleed effects for 1 min.

Shaman
